Legal Status and Mission Statement

We are

A documentary, scientific and cultural institution.  Created in 1985, this Foundation is the result of a need felt by the community of researchers and operators in Casablanca and all over Morocco for information and documentation. This Foundation is a wonderful initiative of the late King Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz Al Saoud.

Our Status

We are a private institution, set up in the form of a Moroccan Law partnership operating as a corporate body of public utility. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of personalities representing various walks of life.

Our Mission

To serve scientific research in social and human sciences applied to the Arab and Muslim World, with an emphasis on the Maghreb, from a geographical, historical and cultural perspective.

Providing logistics in terms of information, documentation and help in decision-making to the benefit of different public and private operators.

Our Means

A Library, A Documentation and Information Center,
A Space for Debate and Support to Scientific Research,
Publications.
