Public Lecture : Ibn Tufayl, His perception at Home and Abroad

In association with the Philosophy and Contemporary Questions laboratory of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Ben M'sick, the Foundation is pleased to welcome, on Thursday December 22, 2022 at 4 p.m., the American professor specializing in Islamic and Jewish thought Lenn Evan Goodman to present a lecture entitled “ Ibn Tufayl: His perception at Home and Abroad ”.
Goodman is a professor of philosophy at Vanderbilt University in the United States. He has published several studies on the great figures of Islamic thought (Avicenna, Ibn Bajjah, Ibn Tufayl) and Jewish thought (Saadiah ben Joseph al-Fayyumi, Maimonides). He also translated some Arabic-Islamic philosophical works into English (The Epistles of the Brethren of Purity, Hayy Ibn Yaqzan).
